College of Charleston Wins Gill Coed National Championship

Today was the last day of the Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship, hosted by the College of Charleston. This is the final of three high caliber spring college sailing national championships that were run on the Cooper River in Charleston Harbor. After four days of intense competition the College of Charleston has won the national title and the Henry A. Morss Memorial Trophy on their home waters.

Georgetown University Leads After Day 1 of the Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship

The first day of finals racing in the Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship began today hosted by the College of Charleston on the Cooper River in Charleston Harbor. The top eighteen college teams in the nation advanced from the previous two days of racing in the semifinals to make it to this event and compete for the Henry A. Morss Memorial Trophy.

Gill Coed National Championship Semifinals Day 2

Today was the second and final day of the semifinals for the Gill Coed National Championship, hosted by the College of Charleston. The top 36 college sailing teams in the nation have been sailing on the Cooper River in Charleston Harbor, for 18 spots in the championship finals, which begin tomorrow, Thursday, June 1. The top nine teams from each of the semifinal fleets make up the 18 teams who have qualified to compete in the finals.

Light winds on the first day of semifinals racing in Gill Coed National Championship

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (May 30, 2017) – Today was the first day of the Gill College Sailing Coed National Championship Semifinals, hosted by the College of Charleston and the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Conference. The top 36 college sailing teams in the nation are vying for 18 spots in the championship finals, which will begin on Thursday, June 1.
